D.E.L.M- A good ride for a good cause

Over 100 riders got together on August 22 for the D.E.L.M Ride to raise money for the Deidre Eisinger Legacy Memorial (D.E.L.M.). Team USA2Ride joined the group and participated in this event supported by USA2Ride sponsors 7Eye Sunglasses (By Panoptx), and NEXX North America HelmetDee (Deidre) was a motorcycle rider, as well as an animal advocate and dedicated volunteer. She always went above and beyond to support a great cause. She spent countless hours volunteering with the animals and assisting with the opening of a HSFC thrift store  that directly benefited this no-kill shelter.

Sadly, Dee passed away in September 2010. She is remembered as a true animal advocate, dedicated supporter and all around loving person. Dee’s brother Todd Eisinger, and sister-in-law Carmen created D.E.L.M. (Deidre Eisinger Legacy Memorial), a fund-raising effort to help fulfill Dee’s dream to support those who did not have a voice: the animals.

This year they are donating to a local dog rescue group located in Homestead, FL. called This is the dog! They are very excited to include  this local rescue group and look forward to working with the volunteers.

D.E.L.M. organizers received lots of donations to be included in a massive raffle that included baskets full of goods, including a brand new pair of 7Eye Sunglasses and an SX-10 helmet provided by NEXX North America. Registration took place at Friction Zone Motorsports (Miami) where the ride started from. After the group was properly dressed with D.E.L.M. t-shirts, everyone hopped on their bkes and headed to Gilbert’s Resort in Key Largo. The event raised over $4,000 and generated a lot of buzz on social media.
