Marc Marquez continues his dominance on U.S. soil after taking victory at the Red Bull Indianapolis Grand Prix, and he got the Honda’s 700th GP victory. Since moving up to the MotoGP™ class Marquez has never lost in America, and only started off pole once.
It’s his 3rd MotoGP victory at the Indy GP in a row, Marc Marquez (Repsol Honda Team) claimed victory at the Red Bull Indianapolis Grand Prix in the MotoGP™ class. There have been seven races held in the USA since Marquez joined the MotoGP™ ranks, three in Austin, three in Indianapolis and one at Laguna Seca. Marquez has won them all. He’s only started off pole once, during his first and only time at Laguna Seca in 2013.
MM returned from the summer break in really good shape. He had a tricky start to the campaign, but right now, he seems to be firing with all his potential , he got the maximum points at the famous Brickyard.
The battle for the victory and the second place came down , however, for the third place we had the fight between Dani Pedrosa and Valentino Rossi, and again, another time Honda versus Yamaha. They were swung back and forth, both holding the advantage at different points. Rossi finally held out for third after again reclaiming the position, and he maintained his 100% podium success rate this year.
With that result, Rossi’s lead at the top of the championship was cut to nine points over Lorenzo.
Márquez continued about his seemingly near-impossible task of defending his title by chipping away at the deficit to Rossi, which now stands at 56 points with eight rounds remaining.
